Who we are

This website is run by WebMannin, a web design and development studio. When this policy says “we”, “us” or “our”, it means WebMannin. We decide how the information described here is used, which makes us the data controller.

We are based in Douglas and do not have a public office yet, so the best way to reach us is by email or phone.

The short version

• We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
• We only count visits if you allow it, and the tool we use sets no cookies at all.
• We never sell your information or share it for marketing.
• When you contact us, we use what you send to reply and, if you go ahead, to run your project.

Information you give us

Enquiries. When you press “Send enquiry”, the details you typed (your name, email address, business name, what you need, your budget and your message) are sent securely to our inbox by Web3Forms, a form-delivery service. The website itself does not store them. If the form cannot be sent, it offers to open your own email app instead. When you email or ring us directly, we receive your name, email address or phone number and whatever you choose to tell us about your business.

Projects. If you become a client, we also keep the details we need to quote, invoice and deliver your website, such as your business details, the content you send us and our correspondence.

We use this information to reply to you, to prepare quotes and to carry out the work you ask for. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and then performing that contract. For our accounts, we rely on our legal obligation to keep financial records.

Visit statistics

If you choose “Allow analytics” in the cookie notice, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit, which pages they read and roughly where visits come from. It sets no cookies, does not build a profile of you and does not follow you to other websites. If you choose “No thanks”, the analytics script is never loaded. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can change at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.

What this site stores on your device

This site uses no cookies of its own. It saves a few small settings in your browser's storage, only so the site works the way you asked:

• Your colour mode (light or dark), so it stays the same as you move between pages.
• Your cookie choice, so we do not ask again on every page.
• Your estimate, if you use the price estimator and press “Send this to us”. It is kept only until you close the tab.

These settings never leave your device and you can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

Hosting and security

This site is hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type. This is in our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website. The site's fonts and scripts are served from our own domain, so loading a page does not send your information to font or script providers.

Who we share information with

We share information only with the services we need to run the business, such as our hosting, form-delivery (Web3Forms), email and accounting providers, and only as much as each one needs. Some of these providers may store information outside your country; where they do, we rely on the legal safeguards they provide. We will also share information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not become projects: up to 24 months after we last hear from you.
• Client project records: for as long as we look after your site, then up to 6 years for our accounts.
• Analytics: only as anonymous, combined statistics.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, send it to you in a portable form, or stop using it. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email hello@webmannin.com and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the data protection regulator.

Other websites

Links to other websites, such as the photo credits, take you to sites with their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for how they handle your information.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
